Parris Harris Shopping Fashion Show - LeFem
Kiki and I did this shopping fashion show in Santa Monica for the locally famous Parris Harris. I had never worked with him before but from the emails and the voicemails, I knew he was goint to be a hoot to work with. We'll sum up the word "hoot" with...."What tha!? and Oh my!". http://www.justin.tv/parrisharris
Here are some snaps from the show.

November Runway show!
Kiki and Melissa were rockin it this Saturday! Live coverage and brilliant designers really made the show rock! We had tons of fun.... and even met really cool people! the only problem we had was food.... I swear people thing that because we are thin models that we never eat!!!!!!!!!!! YES WE DO!!! for all that care! Food is a daily thing everyone eats to SURVIVE! When we asked for food (that was suppose to be provided) we were yelled at! AH! Do not get in between a skinny person and their food!!!!
Needless to say Melissa and I had to sneak away from the backstage to get in our car and find something to eat!!! ANYTHING sounded good at this point! So we made it to a convienent store.... and stocked up on snacks.... including chips which we brought back for everyone!!! AREN"T WE NICE>>>>? :)
Did I mention we had to get me a pain reliever because of my HUGE headache I got from the guy who yelled at us because we wanted to eat!!! lol Malibu thank you! After my medicine I was much happier! :pAh another show down... a million left to do! Check back soon for another posting of the SHARK CLUB SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melissa's Shoot....
So the same day that Kiki was shooting up in LA, I was shooting down in Orange County. I had the professional priveledge to work with:Photographer Christa Junqueria http://www.christaphotography.com/
Wardrobe stylist Casey Lum http://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=554316

Kiki and I stayed in touch the entire time which is why we have these pictures. We were sending progress reports of ourselves to each other all day. But now, thanks to this blog, we can stay in touch with you too....right from thet set.
Kiki's Shoot......

Another photoshoot.... another day.... had to wake up so early to do a shoot and then sit in a chair getting my makeup done for hours... I think I fell asleep in the chair... lol! In the end... I'm finally free to pose for the camera... yay! Wish Melissa was here! At lease I could have some fun!!!!
:)
Down time

Sooo... When you are doing a photoshoot... IT TAKES FOREVER for the makeup artist sometimes to do your makeup! Your seriously sitting there for sometimes hours on end with someone poking at your face the whole time... saything things like oops! oh no! oh well! THAT IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO HEAR when someone has been working on your face for hours!!! AH!!! The glamourous life ha! Yeah right! Lets see you sit and have your face poked for hours! NO THANK YOU!!!
NOTE TO MAKEUP ARTIST EVERYWHERE....
1.Please have a mint or something minty for your breath (I have to smell your breath for a long time and let me tell you sometimes it is not pretty!)
2.NEVER say OOPS! or OH SHIT! While working on a models face!!! ( It makes us nervous that you seriously do not know what you are doing!)
3.DO NOT CAKE ON SO MUCH FOUNDATION! There is this new invention called mineral powder... you should try it sometime!!!!
4. When applying eyelashes PLEASE KNOW WTF YOU ARE DOING! (Gluing a models eyes closed is not acceptable!!!)
Now that we have gone through the rules YOU SHOULD TRY TO FOLLOW THEM!!! ya know... just FYI...
You have new Picture Mail!
Ah! The life..... Driving around town. Havin way too much fun in the Bronco. Watchout world! Gotta get ready for the runway show on Saturday!

The Freak without Warning
Melissa:
I've always had thick skin in this industry so I'm pretty capable of not being knocked off my feet when I hear something offensive. There are a few lines that I've heard recently that I honestly don't care to repeat so I'll skip the nasties and just go straight for the best of the worst.
I went to a casting with my girlfriend Kiki in LA. After the casting, she wanted to meet with a photographer that wanted to work with her. I was more than happy to go with her since safety in numbers is a good rule of thumb. We went to his studio (which we quickly discovered was just an apartment-not a good sign right there).
He was young and decent looking, clean cut and polite. He seemed like a normal nice guy (another bad sign because isn't that what they always say about serial killers?) He invited us and we sat and kindly looked over his work while he sat strangely in silence in his massage chair while surfing the web and texting someone.
After a few moments of jumbled sentences that didn't make sense to either of us, Kiki and Mr. Freaky Deaky, switched seats. He now wanted her to sit in his massage chair. He came over to the couch where I was sitting and practically sat on my lap as if there wasn't 5 feet of couch wide open next to me. Then he asked if I had finger nails. I looked down at my hands instinctively and replied yes. Then with almost no hesitation he proceeds to ask me to SCRATCH HIS HEAD!!!!
"WHAT?! I DON'T THINK SO!" He then asks me if I could "just rub it then".
"OMG! Are you kidding me? I'm not going to rub your head. I don't rub peoples head the first time I meet them. Tomorrow, maybe. But today....no!"
So kudos to you Mr. Freak without Warning for being extra freaky. We did appreciate you yelling at us to hurry when we were leaving through the gate by the way. That was sexy. Don't expect a call back or for me to accept your friend request. It's ain't gonna happen.
OH.....and if you're reading this. STOP TEXTING US! CAN'T YOU TAKE A HINT?!!!
xoxo
